HV-100 HVAC/R Career Track


Department of Labor industry (DOLI) has approved VTA’s HVAC/R facility and course programs for Related Training Instruction (RTI). Our HVAC/R Career Track Programs are 180 hours of classroom and lab learning coursework.

    The Core Curriculum course is a prerequisite for the HVAC/R Career Track Program.

Our HVAC/R Career Track Program is a comprehensive, accredited course for educational hours to supplement on-the-job training.  This program prepares the individual to apply technical knowledge and skills to install, operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.  Includes proper use and handling of refrigerants, and EPA certification.  Covers applicable codes, and basic troubleshooting.  This course includes four levels.

I was attending another HVAC course at a different location. I switched to Virginia Technical Academy due to the following: hands-on percentage is higher, set-up lab, and more experienced instructors. Set eyes on this academy and you will switch also.
