Virginia Technical Academy is a trade school that provides hands-on-experience through apprenticeship programs and Accelerated Education courses. The programs help students prepare for careers in the following trades:

  • Plumbing
  • Building Maintenance 
  • Appliance Repair

Flexible Programs for All Education Levels

It doesn’t matter whether you’re 17 or 70 years old. It’s never too late to get started. All you need is drive and the desire to want to build a better life. Virginia Technical Academy offers flexible programs for any level of education. You don’t even need a high school diploma or a GED. 

From apprenticeships to fast-track career changes, we offer a range of educational programs to suit your needs and your schedule. With day and night courses available, you don’t have to put your career goals on hold because they don’t fit into your schedule. 

Apprenticeship Programs: Length & Cost

Each apprenticeship program varies slightly, although most have a minimum standard of 144 credit hours per year and additional work experience requirements. Some programs can take up to four years to complete. The cost ranges from $1,500 to $5,500, with financial assistance available. Scholarships, grants, and financial aid is available to those who qualify. Payment plans are offered directly through Virginia Technical Academy. 

Career Placement Assistance & Salary Expectations 

Virginia Technical Academy works with students to find careers after graduation by offering job fairs, resume building workshops, and mock interviews. Upon graduating, students can expect to make anywhere between $15 and $21 an hour, plus benefits.
